The Department for Persons with Disabilities is a non-profit social service organization. We are a corporation in New Jersey established for the purpose of working for the cause of improving the lives of people with disabilities. We are a religious organization under the Bishop of Paterson. The Department for Persons with Disabilities has a philosophy and mission that incorporate values from the traditions and teachings of the Catholic Church, including dignity for all people and a strong belief that every individual is a valuable and complete person who has unique worth and inherent dignity.

The mission of the Developmental Disabilities Administration is to provide leadership to assure the full participation of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in all aspects of community life. Developmental Pathways is a non-profit agency created to serve persons with developmental disabilities and their families. It was established in 1964 as a community-based alternative to institutional care. Since that time, Pathways has developed a broad array of services based on the principle that full inclusion and participation in community life is attainable for every individual with a developmental disability. Developmental Pathways serves citizens of Arapahoe and Douglas Counties, and the City of Aurora, in Colorado, USA.

Residential Program

Developmental Services Center (DSC) of Champaign, Illinois is a non-profit organization serving developmentally disabled individuals in Champaign and Ford Counties. The mission of DSC is to enhance the lives of persons with disabilities by providing services and supports which enable them to live, work, learn and participate in their communities.

Founded in 1912, we provide supports and services for individuals services including transitional services for young adults, job development and supports, and in-home supports. We also have a specialized program, CAAPP (Community Adult Autism Partnership Program) located in Downingtown and Wayne that provides life skills and employment supports for indivdiuals living in the community.

An adult training program has also been established in Atlantic County. The Center promotes individual strengths and supports areas that need development through an individualized, behavioral approach.

Devereux Pocono Center’s vibrant community programs for adolescents and adults are located throughout the Pocono/Northeast. Devereux serves the Pocono/Northeat with relief care - day, overnight, in-the-home, & within our facilities, residential programs, pre-vocational and vocational training Programs. Our School to Community Transition Training Programs ensures special needs students can progress successfully to community work and living.

We are part of the national Devereux Foundation, founded in 1912, a national continuum of care with centers in thirteen states and the District of Columbia.

"The DRC is a Center for Independent Living funded primarily by a grant from the Rehabilitation Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Education. The DRC is located in Everett, Washington, USA, and serves residents with disabilities of northwest Washington, (Snohomish, Island, Skagit, Whatcom and San Juan Counties who need Independent Living services.

The Division of Children and Youth Services is responsible for determining the mental health service needs for children and youth in Mississippi and for planning and developing programs to meet those identified needs.
