Wyoming Institute For Disabilities (WIND) is pleased to announce the return of ATTAIN, a state-wide project to train professionals working with individuals with autism in Wyoming. To provide educators, professionals, parents, and individuals access to the most current information and resources available for educating students with autism spectrum disorders. The current focus of ATTAIN activities is development of resources through the website, the WIND Resource Library, and continuing the annual conference.

Easter Seals-Goodwill Northern Rocky Mountain is a private, nonprofit organization serving children and adults with disabilities in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. Its mission of promoting and enhancing independence is accomplished by providing direct services such as vocational programs, child care and preschool, adult day care, case management, home care, home health services, hospice, support groups, equipment loan, and information and referral assistance.

A leadership training program for adults with disabilities and parents of children with developmental disabilities. The purpose of the program is to teach best practices and teach the competencies of influencing public officials. Partners in Policy Making is located in the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities, University of Wyoming.

Maximum Potential would like to announce the release of its ABA Course. The Parent Information Center (PIC), a project of Parents Helping Parents of Wyoming Inc., opened in August, 1991 as one of the nationwide network of nonprofit, Parent Training and Information Centers (PTI's) funded by the United States Department of Education. Our first responsibility is to inform and educate parents about special education law and the rights and responsibilities they and their child have under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The main goals and purposes of PIC are to help families better understand education issues as they relate to their child's disability, and to provide support and encouragement to parents as they face their child's journey through life.

WYNOT provides a variety of training opportunities for professional organizations, state agencies, private industry, service providers, community groups, and consumers interested in learning more about assistive technology and services. WYNOT will design AT related training specific to your needs.They will also assist local citizens who wish to form community-based groups devoted to working on disability issues in their areas. They have a demonstration center in which you can try and evaluate various pieces of assistive technology including low tech and high tech devices. In addition, many of these products can be loaned to consumers and/or service providers for brief periods of time.
