The mission of Aim High Academy is to provide San Francisco students with a challenging and innovative secondary education in a small and supportive environment. Aim High Academy will serve a culturally and economically diverse group of young people, in grades 6-12, and is committed to addressing educational equity and ensuring the success of all students. Aim High encourages faculty to develop innovative approaches to teaching and learning, and partners with community based organizations, integrating experiential and service learning into the educational program. The goal of Aim High Academy is to graduate students who are fully prepared for higher education, have developed the practices of life-long learners, have an appreciation for community, and are deeply aware of the global issues that affect their lives.

Apple Creek Private Preschool is devoted to educating young children in a positive and nurturing environment. Apple Creek offers morning or afternoon classes two, three, or five days a week. We provide children with hands-on learning in an academic environment filled with stimulating educational experiences. Preschool classes are offered for children aged two through five years of age. Summer programs and phonics based reading classes are also available.

We offer consultation services to support individualized in-home behavioral treatment for children with special needs, with an emphasis on those between 2 to13 years of age, including those with Autism/PDD-NOS, Aspergers, Traumatic Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy and Downs Syndrome. The foundation of our programming is the research-backed approach of Applied Behavior Analysis supplemented by current techniques drawn from the various disciplines that work with development disorders for a truly integrated solution. Consultative support services provided to families and team members who work with children and adults with Mental Health Issues, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Behavior Disorders & Developmental Disabilities. A diverse professional background provides the opportunity for a variety of supports including: Functional Assessments on transition, behavior, parenting skills, and in-home needs; On-Site Consultation in the areas of Instruction, Wraparound Planning, In-Home Behavior Supports, Behavior Intervention Plans, Individualized Social Skills Training, Educational Planning/ARD Support, and Data Collection/Analysis; Professional Trainings and video-conferencing offered state-wide to small and large groups.

We provide support for families, teachers and community service providers who interact with individuals on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. These services include behavioral interventions, Applied Behavior Analysis, Components of an effective classroom, staff training, building peer relationships, social skills training and play groups.

The Burkhart Center for Autism Education and Research provides research-based programming to enhance the quality of life for families and students with autism spectrum disorders. Additionally, the Center studies and disseminates best practice methods for transitioning individuals with autism spectrum disorders from secondary school to adulthood.

Chase’s Place is a private day school serving students with developmental disabilities including mental retardation, PDD/Autism, traumatic brain injuries and neurological disorders. The school is currently accepting applications for students ages 5 to 14. Additional classes will be added as the need arises. The school accepts disabled students of any color, race and creed, national or ethnic origin. The school does not discriminate in the administration of its educational policy, financial, and/or other school administrative programs.

The Child Study Center (CSC) provides diagnosis and treatment services to children who have, or are at risk for, developmental disabilities and related behavioral and emotional and dental problems so that these children may achieve their full potential.

We provide college options for autistic students. We give them the academic, independent living, and social skills support and development they need to live an independent and productive life. We have locations throughout the country.

College Living Experience is a post-secondary academic program that provides intensive assistance with academic, independent living and social skills to college students with special needs as they transition to become independent responsible adults. College Living Experience assists students throughout the academic process from registration to graduation. With centers in Austin, Texas, Denver and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Washington D.C. and Monterey, Calif. College Living Experience offers access to nearly 20 community colleges, universities and technical institutes that offer a wide variety of certificate and degree programs.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit umbrella agency for three important programs. The Dallas Day School is a “developmental” preschool program that prepares children for success in school by starting early and involving the parents in education. Since our program is individualized, we lovingly include children with special needs. The Low Vision Clinic offers diagnostic services, assistive devices, and training for patients with a vision loss. The Therapies Clinic offers developmental assessments for birth to 16 years, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy.
