Family Centered approach to assessment and treatment for children with ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, adoption and foster care, and young children with FTT. Evaluations and ongoing treatment as well as assistance with advocacy for children and adolescents with problems of learning and behavior including but not limited to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, including co-existing conditions of learning, behavior, anxiety, mood; children with pervasive developmental disorders including childhood autism, Aspergers Syndrome, Atypical Autism, Autistic Spectrum Disorders; children who are adopted nationally or internationally; children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Fragile-X and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and related disorders; and young children with feeding disorders and poor growth.

AUCD formerly UAP(University Affiliated Programs) are authorized by federal legislation to help States and local communities respond to the needs of people with developmental disabilities and their families.(AUCDs) serve as a liaison between the academic world and the developmental disabilities service delivery system. AUCDs network with and provide assistance to State Agencies, their local affiliates, and to various nongovermental consumer-based organizations. Most AUCDs provide direct clinical, educational, and other services to individuals and families, or can assist families in finding services.

ASSIST! to Independence is a community based non-profit agency that was established for people with disabilities and chronic health conditions to help fill some of the gaps in service delivery. The agency serves as a consumer driven community action program to facilitate general awareness of disability related issues, community access, education, information sharing, assistive technology access, advocacy, and independent living that is relevant and culturally appropriate for American Indians. This is done through a comprehensive collaborative network which provides support and resources that promote the active participation of each individual in their self-care management. Program staff work to provide the tools necessary for individuals to make informed choices and decisions; to maintain a maximum level of independent living; to achieve equality of opportunity, inclusion and integration in the community and society; and for economic and social self-sufficiency.

ASA-PCC is a volunteer-run 501(c)3 organization which helps families with autistic children find the resources they need. We have an Autism Society of America, Pima County Chapter Library filled with books, videos, journals about Autism and related disorders. ASAP is a non profit community organization for children with alternative learning abilities and behavior challenges including but not limited to the autism spectrum. ASAP combines equine facilitated therapy with sensory integration for a unique program which is designed especially for children on the autism spectrum or with any other alternative learning abilities. Our weekly sessions include two classes, one hour of horseback riding and one hour of color, sound and art therapy as well as our parent support group.

More than 10 national autism leadership organizations have come together to form AutismCares, a nationwide disaster relief effort that will potentially assist thousands of Katrina families living with autism. To address the most immediate needs, ”AutismCares – Katrina” is coordinating support for the unique needs of families affected by autism through facilitating temporary / permanent relocation support, mobilizing specialty assistance teams and providing autism-conscious supplies directly to these families and the professionals caring for them.

Chandler-Gilbert Arc is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing training and support to adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities. We offer Residential, Employment, and Day Treatment and Training opportunities to approximately 200 individuals of varying levels of disability daily.

Our mission at Child & Family Support Services is to provide families with flexible, individually-tailored support services to help meet the needs they are experiencing while having a child with special needs. We work with children who have needs in the areas of education, juvenile justice, child welfare, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, and other specialized situations.
