ASPIRES is an on-line resource for spouses and family members of adults diagnosed or suspected to be on the autistic spectrum. Our approach to one another and towards our "significant others" is directed towards solving problems in our relationship with a spectrum-sitting spouse. We share our family and relational experiences, resources and survival tips as well as offer encouragement and hope.

More than 10 national autism leadership organizations have come together to form AutismCares, a nationwide disaster relief effort that will potentially assist thousands of Katrina families living with autism. To address the most immediate needs, ”AutismCares – Katrina” is coordinating support for the unique needs of families affected by autism through facilitating temporary / permanent relocation support, mobilizing specialty assistance teams and providing autism-conscious supplies directly to these families and the professionals caring for them.

A.C.A.P. was founded in 1987 by parents of children with autism to provide a program involving life skills training, community integration support (including transportation training), recreational experiences, and family support.

Bridgeway House is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization helping children and families by providing treatments, courses, and support to families and individuals affected by autism and related disabilities. This organization was created in 2002 by Patricia A. Wigney, a dedicated parent who traveled the Pacific Northwest in search of resources to help her autistic daughter. After four years of gathering information and resources she decided to assemble a group of parents and professionals to bring life altering services to one location in her community. Her dream was to have treatments, courses, information, and support easily accessible to the autism community.

AUCD formerly UAP (University Affiliated Programs) are authorized by federal legislation to help States and local communities respond to the needs of people with developmental disabilities and their families.(AUCDs) serve as a liaison between the academic world and the developmental disabilities service delivery system. AUCDs network with and provide assistance to State Agencies, their local affiliates, and to various nongovermental consumer-based organizations. Most AUCDs provide direct clinical, educational, and other services to individuals and families, or can assist families in finding services.

The mission of the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center of the Oregon Health & Science University (CDRC-OHSU) is to ensure that persons in Oregon with developmental disabilities and other chronic disabling conditions are identified and receive exemplary services through programs of public health, clinical service, education and research.

I have created this group to help parents find out more about this disorder. If anyone has information please feel free to post. We are here to help each other and be there so we are not alone in this.

FEAT of Oregon's purpose is to provide information and support to families with children with autism. FEAT of Oregon members have a common interest in helping their children. Members provide emotional support through shared experiences and share information through networking via an email listserve, monthly planning meetings, seminars, conferences, and presentations. FEAT of Oregon has a resource library of teaching materials and references.

Family Connections Northwest is private practice devoted to families living with autism spectrum and other pervasive developmental disorders. I am an RDI� Program Certified Consultant.

FEAT of Oregon was founded in February of 1995 by a small group of parents seeking to improve early intervention services in The State of Oregon and to promote Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as an effective treatment for autism. One of FEAT�s first activities was to organize �new member� orientation meetings for parents of recently diagnosed children with autism.
