ADA-OHIO is a state wide non-profit organization that provides information, technical assistance and training about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to individuals, businesses, state and local government agencies or municipalities. AIM (Adventures in Movement)is a non-profit organization founded in Dayton, Ohio in 1958. Dr. Jo A. Geiger, National Executive Director, in cooperation with dedicated doctors and educators, combined their knowledge and talents in testing and evaluating various movement exercises to determine what would be most beneficial and easily adaptable to individuals visual, hearing, emotional, learning, orthopedic or coordination disabilities. The AIM Method of Specialized Movement Education is the result of their efforts. The AIM program is always completed to music and is done one-on-one or in a group setting at the office in Dayton, Ohio. When done consistently AIM helps with balance, coordination, speech and reading skills, following directions, concentration, and muscle tone. There is never a charge for AIM services.

This is an eight week Social Skills programfor higher functioning young adults on the spectrum ages 17-30. We also have a parent support program and for graduates of the program a reunion the first Wednesday of every month.

The Autism Society of Ohio is a group of parents and professionals working on behalf of persons with autism and autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in the state of Ohio. Board members sit on various statewide committees, including the Developmental Disability Council Autism Task Force, The Family Support Committee, (etc.) to advocate for and represent the interests of persons with autism and ASD. The Autism Society of Ohio also acts as an information clearing house for persons with autism and ASD, their families, and the professionals who serve them in Ohio and neighboring states. An affiliate of the Autism Society of America, the ASO makes information and ideas accessible to interested families and professionals.

Behavior Analysis, Inc. (BAI) is one of the leading behavioral consulting companies in the world. Bittersweet Inc. is a care and treatment facility for adolescents and adults with autism. We have five main directorates at Bittersweet: Residential; Vocational; Supported Living and Respite; Advocacy and Supported Employment. Our residential program serves 20 persons in three Medicaid Licensed homes on our main campus. The habilitation program at these facilities happens in the morning and in the evening after completing their work. The residential schedules are full of exercise, academic programs and community outings. Habilitation goals of daily living and skills of adaptive living such as laundry, personal hygiene, meal preparation, and structured social interaction play a large part in the success of our residential program. Our facility has five supported living homes. The participants come to our main campus for day programming and then go back to homes in the community that they share with other participants. Habilitation and skills development continue through all residential programs just as though they were living in our main campus housing. Bittersweet advocates and helps schools through consulting and planning, working with the local courts to advocate on the rights of individuals with autism. We also consult to groups or families to give them assistance on how to best serve persons with autism. We conduct tours to professionals and students to expose them to our model and perhaps to their first experience to someone with autism. Bittersweet offers Respite Services to families

Oakstone Academy is one of several programs that offers training to professionals that teach children with autism spectrum disorders. This training is offered through a grant obtained by the Univ. of Washington. Therefore, it is free to schools and organizations with a $2000 stipend available.

I provide program consulting services to families and schools for children with ASD ages 2 through 21 with nine years professional experience. I emphasize the importance of service delivery in the least restrictive setting and data-driven teaching in an ABA format. My focus is on lasting portable and pivotal skills that can be used across environments to increase communication, social, and play skills as these are reciprocal and vital to the development of all learners. I consult to schools on ways to support children with challenging behaviors and assist teams in writing behavior support plans based on functional behavioral assessments. I have a Masters and teaching certification in Sp. Ed.(concentration in severe behavior disorders) and 46 credits toward a Ph.D. in Special Education. I co-taught the autism graduate course at Lehigh University for four years. I'm also an adjunct professor at Arcadia University teaching graduate classes in low incidence disabilities, and behavioral approaches. Finally, or before everything else, I am the parent of a 15 yr. old with autism.

The center for autism at the Cleveland Clinic is a multi-faceted service provider for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and like conditions. The Center offers a full day year-round intensive applied behavioral program for students from earliest diagnosis to age 22 years. The center currently serves 74 full- time students and will accomodate up to 100 full-time students as its state of the art facility is completed in 2008. The center's intensive behavioral early childhood program offers tiered levels of instruction and low ratios. The Center's school program provides intensive communication, behavior academic, social and career development services. The outreach program provides in-home behavioral programming, consultation and training. Diagnostic and medical assessment to the pediatric autism community is also available.The center conducts research in autism treatment.

Dayton Area Families for Effective Autism Treatment (DAFEAT) is a 501 (c)3 organization dedicated to helping individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) reach their full potential.
