Diagnostic Services: Children’s Hospital offers a multi-disciplinary diagnostic clinic. We offer the services of Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians, Psychologists that specializes in MR/DD services, Speech Therapists, and Autism Resource Coordinators at one appointment to ensure that families receive comprehensive, high-quality care within one appointment. Columbus Children’s Hospital also offers diagnostic & cognitive testing through Psychologists that specializes in MR/DD services to help rule out or confirm autism spectrum disorders or assist with recommendations for children previously diagnosed. Additionally, school & behavioral assistance appointments are available. Treatment: Columbus Children’s Hospital has an Intensive Behavioral Intervention Clinic to provide individualized ABA programs for children 2- 11 diagnosed on the autism spectrum. We also provide individualized services for children of school age & children diagnosed with Asperger’s. Other Services: Columbus Children’s Hospital has a staff of Autism Resource Coordinators that help navigate families through the systems—both within the hospital & within the community. They assist families with finding funding & resources for services within the community. They keep families & health care providers informed of new developments in funding, advocacy & treatment and provide community education & outreach.

Bittersweet Inc. is a care and treatment facility for adolescents and adults with autism. We have five main directorates at Bittersweet: Residential; Vocational; Supported Living and Respite; Advocacy and Supported Employment. Our residential program serves 20 persons in three Medicaid Licensed homes on our main campus. The habilitation program at these facilities happens in the morning and in the evening after completing their work. The residential schedules are full of exercise, academic programs and community outings. Habilitation goals of daily living and skills of adaptive living such as laundry, personal hygiene, meal preparation, and structured social interaction play a large part in the success of our residential program. Our facility has five supported living homes. The participants come to our main campus for day programming and then go back to homes in the community that they share with other participants. Habilitation and skills development continue through all residential programs just as though they were living in our main campus housing. Bittersweet advocates and helps schools through consulting and planning, working with the local courts to advocate on the rights of individuals with autism. We also consult to groups or families to give them assistance on how to best serve persons with autism. We conduct tours to professionals and students to expose them to our model and perhaps to their first experience to someone with autism. Bittersweet offers Respite Services to families

In Home Support Services Available In and Around Michigan Having a Certified Child Facilitator work with your child in their own playroom is a great way for you to see the techniques and principles of Son-Rise practiced in your own home. As a Certified Child Facilitator I can work with your child in your playroom while being observed, and/or videotaped, which is a great tool for future reference. I can do a Question and Answer session regarding my time in the playroom, and help with brainstorming games and themes for your team to bring into the playroom! Support Services Available by Phone One of the main principles of the Son-Rise Program is the idea that the key to learning is your child’s motivation With you on the phone I will help you to think of games and themes for your team to bring into the playroom based on your child’s current challenges and motivations. It’s a great way to learn how to challenge your child and optimize learning in a way that is fun and exciting for them as well as for you! The Cincinnati Center for Autism (CCA) provides a variety of services designed to help children with autism reach their fullest potential. Our programs address many of the behavioral, social, communication and motor delays common in children with autism. Located in Fairfield just north of I-275, the center serves children and families in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. We are a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization formed to improve the condition of children, specifically children with autism. We use a variety of programs designed to provide education instruction, entertainment, recreation and social interaction in hopes of training for self support and useful, happy lives.
