We are a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides support for families and friends that have children with Autism/Asperger's. We also have a Diaper Bank that provides diapers to families with children that have Autism and cannot afford diapers.

More than 10 national autism leadership organizations have come together to form AutismCares, a nationwide disaster relief effort that will potentially assist thousands of Katrina families living with autism. To address the most immediate needs, ”AutismCares – Katrina” is coordinating support for the unique needs of families affected by autism through facilitating temporary / permanent relocation support, mobilizing specialty assistance teams and providing autism-conscious supplies directly to these families and the professionals caring for them.

This group is for Adults within the Autism Spectrum including Asperger's and P.D.D. as well as Family and Friends of those in the autism spectrum. This is an opportunity to offer support to one another, gain a better understanding of each other, ask questions, share resource information and form friendships with others who live in the Michigan area...though people from other areas are welcome to be part of this group as well. Posts are not limited to any type of subject but must be appropriate for general viewing. Members are expected to remain courteous and respectful of one another.
