The Alabama PTA is the strongest statewide organization working exclusively on behalf of children and youth. Alabama PTA's primary objective is to strengthen the family unit through parent involvement.

Special Education Services provides technical assistance to all education agencies serving Alabama's gifted children, as well as children with disabilities. SES is also responsible for ensuring that education agencies providing services are in compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations and for processing all complaints and requests for due process hearings and mediation regarding special education issues.

Applied Behavioral Concepts, Inc. has been providing services to children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder since September 2000. We are currently located in a typical preschool/school environment offering incidental and inclusion therapy as well as DTT for Preschool through 3rd grade. Applied Behavioral is an approved Tricare Insurance provider.

The autism-georgia group is is for parents, professionals and others interested in learning and sharing news, information and resources about autism in Georgia. Members are encouraged to share information and ask questions about medical, educational and therapeutic treatments, both traditional and non-traditional, for autism spectrum disorders. Developed by Sound Listening Corporation who is chaired by Dr. Billie Thompson, EnListen provides families an in-home choice once the initial evaluation is done. Dr. Thompson was the pioneer who brought Tomatis to the U.S. EnListen takes the benefits of Tomatis many steps further by improving Bone Conduction interference and increasing all processing of sounds necessary to produce word sounds, body coordination and receptive language.
