The Central Illinois Chapter of the Autism Society of America strives to improve the lives of all our community affected by Autism by providing resources, educational opportunities, and social activities as well as emotional and financial support. Coverage area is approximately 60 miles around Springfield.

The Autism Society of McLean County is a family centered support organization. We focus our efforts on helping children and adults with autism be successful through their lifespan. We offer many community based opportunities, a resource book to help navigate local resources, a bi-monthly newsletter, and family cedntered trainings.

Camp Summit is part of an urban ministry called Christian Friendliness (CF). Established in 1936, CF is a parachurch ministry whose purpose is to bring hope to low-income kids, teens, and their families. As a holistic ministry, we offer food, tutoring, employment training, recreation, Bible studies, and camp experience at Camp Summit. Camp Summit opened in 2001 as a part of our ministry to low income families. Urban kids have an alarming deficit of experiences outside their neighborhoods and housing complexes. Experiences at Camp Summit are vital to their development and pursuit of God through retreats, cookouts or even a whole week of camp. These children are forever changed by the experience camp offers them. Campers can find challenges to help them grow and reach the next level of personal and spiritual understanding.

Providing a wide variety of consultation, evaluation, and treatment services to help children and families affected by developmental challenges in Illinois. We offer Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists and Clinical Developmental Psychologists specializing in a variety of complementary therapies.

MedCare provides outstanding rehabilitation care for adults and children, helping individuals affected by disability pursue healthy and fulfilling lives. MedCare offers specialized services for children with autism. They run playgroups, language enrichment camps, and also group/individualized therapy sessions for individuals with autism. Recreational opportunities in both inclusion and traditional programming. Programs include after-school and summer camp. Ages served from 2 to 99.

The NINA Foundation is a not for profit foundation works with children with and without special needs. We provide theraputic fitness, educational tutoring, golf, dance, sign language and horsemanship training. Our program focus on disadvantaged families providing them with programs to expand their education and enviornmental experiences. These tools are also used to prevent, violence, gangs, dropout rates and drug abuse while providing positive experiences.

Progress Listening Center helps children with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, or ADD/ADHD by offering EnListen, the newest patented program available to improve listening, auditory processing, and sensory integration. Developed by Sound Listening Corporation who is chaired by Dr. Billie Thompson, EnListen provides families an in-home choice once the initial evaluation is done. Dr. Thompson was the pioneer who brought Tomatis to the U.S. EnListen takes the benefits of Tomatis many steps further by improving Bone Conduction interference and increasing all processing of sounds necessary to produce word sounds, body coordination and receptive language.

Shady Oaks Cerebral Palsy Camp is a summer camp for people with disabilities located in Homer Glen, Illinois.

SpeechKids is a comprehensive clinic providing support for familes, children and teens with special needs. Services include: speech and language therapy, social groups, music therapy, behavioral intervention, academic tutoring, social work, educational consulting and advocacy, assessment/evaluations and a drop-in and after school teen center.

We provide a menu of services for children through adults that are in the "on-going" phase of treatment. We are behaviorally and cognitive behaviorally based. Our Summer Program has been one of our hilighted programs, and can be used for ESY. We also Focus on providing consulting and evaluations of family-run programs.
