The Institute promotes the welfare of children who are challenged by developmental, learning, and emotional disorders. Treatment and educational services are provided by the Children's Unit for Treatment and Evaluation and by the Children's Unit for Learning Disabilities. Strong emphasis is placed upon intensive, empirically validated intervention procures, within a clinical-educational framework utilizing the process of applied behavior analysis. The Institute serves as the focus for research and training programs, and dissemination of basic and applied knowledge. Academic, research, and applied training are provided to graduate and undergraduate students.
