The Children’s Center for Neurodevelopmental Studies
The Center for Neurodevelopmental Studies is a non-profit school and therapy center founded in 1978 by Lorna Jean King. Its mission is to provide the most effective educational and therapeutic methods for autistic and other developmentally delayed youth. The Temple Grandin School and Good Beginnings (preschool) provide daily classes for children ages 3 through 21. The program consists of a tightly interwoven combination of sensory integrative activities language and communication development music therapy and cognitive facilitation. Staff to student ratio is 1.5:2 and often 1:1. One Step Ahead an early intervention program for toddlers under 3 years is now available.
