We serve families with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other special needs.
ASDs (Autism Spectrum Disorders) are a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that an average of 1 in 110 children in the U.S. have an Autism Spectrum Disorder. When a child is not reaching the expected milestones in development during infancy and early childhood, parents have cause for concern. After further testing and assessments, when a family receives the official diagnosis that their child has Autism, they are filled with questions on how to best care and provide treatment for their special child. Established in 2005, Tangible Difference Learning Center provides numerous programs designed to assist and train you in ways to help your child progress. We focus on the areas of communication, behavior, academics, and social skills to help your child reach his/her full potential.
What makes us different?
Lots of different treatments in one environment. Between ABA, Social Skills classes, parent trainings, Speech Language Pathology, and professional couples/family counseling services, we provide the resources necessary to best help your family. You no longer need to drive all over Houston to receive effective treatment!
We offer help for the family as a whole. While your child is receiving ABA or Speech, our Professional Counseling services offer a place for parents and siblings to share, grieve, celebrate achievements, express concerns, or reach out for help. Our Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern has worked as a Lead ABA therapist for over 3 years and is familiar with some struggles you may face. While our other programs focus on your child, this program is all about you!
State of the art technology. We employ a top-notch website, write informative (and entertaining) blogs, offer online tuition payment, have Facebook and Twitter pages with all our our latest events and information, and keep you updated on upcoming events and Center closures with an online Google calendar, and do a majority of our communication through email.
Interactive Training - we offer detailed and thorough training for our staff and clients. Parents carrying over ABA/Speech techniques into the home setting is a key factor in a child's success!
Great communication and accessibility. Through our website, we let you know all the latest TDLC news, and what we are doing and why. Our friendly staff is available to answer your questions, and our BCBA is also available to our clients to discuss concerns and treatment options.
Our Four Phase Program - we have developed an easy-to-use and streamlined way to do data programming. We don't want programming issues holding back your child's progress!
