Summit Center's Program for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder is an educational facility that serves children between the ages of 3 and 8 who have a diagnosis of autism sprectrum disorder, developmental delay, or Other Health Impairment(OHI).
Daily activities are designed to meet the needs of the individual student and to develop his or her strenghts. The main focus of our program addresses the impaired socialization skills and impaired verbal and non-verbal communication skills of children with ASD. Floor time therapy and discrete trials are used daily in the classrrom, focusing on the individual needs of each student.
Our staff works to develop the child's social and communication skills in order to ease the transition into elementary school and to reduce his or her reliance on assistance from others.
