Spicer & Associates remedies this situation by respecting the global nature of a person, with or without a disability, and the interconnectedness of all members of a society.
Social workers, family members, individuals with disabilities, clinicians, registered nurses, qualified mental retardation practitioners, social policy makers, and special education instructors all offer their own unique perspective. All of these voices need to be heard in determining the services, products, policies, and practices for individuals with disabilities. However, most important is the voice of the person with a disability. For this reason, the root of all movements should start with this goal in mind.
