Aspira Family Focused Support Network FFSN) is designed to assist families with children who have developmental disabilities such as autism. FFSN is a practical support program that offers tools for families to keep children with disabilities living at home instead of in group care.
An individualized in-home program specially tailored to each child and family is developed and implemented. Families are taught to recognize and develop their own strengths and assistance in accessing needed services available through other resources. Each program includes training, family meetings and home visits designed to improve parenting skills and enhance the quality of life for the child and all family members. Many families can complete the program during the initial six-month period; others stay on longer, depending on their specific needs.
