Pace School is a private, non-profit day school, licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the State Board of Private Academic Schools. The students who attend Pace School make this a very special place. The variety of ages and "the story" that each child brings, together, make for an exciting and rich experience for all involved.
Pace’s students are in elementary or middle school, and range in age from 5 to 15; have the diagnosis of Serious Emotional Disturbance, Pervasive Developmental Delay/Autism, or Neurological Impairment; may also have disorders such as ADD, ADHD and/or psychiatric diagnoses; are referred from more than 50 school districts in southwestern Pennsylvania; and represent the diversity of the area.
Pace School was founded more than 30 years ago, in 1967. Throughout the years, it has grown and developed in response to its students’ needs. Today, the School has the capacity to serve 180 children.
