Oasis at Camp Emerson is a 5 Day Summer Camp and Family Retreat for Families of Children with High Functioning Autism or Aspergers age 10-17. August 8 - 12, 2012.
Camp for the Kids - Free Time for Parents - Family Activities - Siblings Invited
Daily Schedule Includes: Morning: Campers enjoy activities that they pick - Parents can join in with the kids or do their own thing at camp or off-site. Afternoon: Family Activities. Evening: 1/2 Parents are OFF! Remainder of parents, staff and campers have a fun evening program.
Run by Sue Lein, a Camp Director who has a son with High Functioning Autism. I know first hand that is it very hard for our families to take a vacation or for our children to have a camp experience. My family has owned Camp Emerson for 45 years. I have always wanted to have a program for my son and kids like him. We have beautiful grounds, lots of activities and an atmosphere of caring and understanding.
