The Lee's Summit Autism Support Group emerged in late November 2006. There were two parents involved getting the group started.
The group was initially formed for families in Lee's Summit, but they have had families from all school districts join them. They want to be a group that can help families all over the metro Kansas City area ensure that their child receives the free and appropriate education that they are federally entitled to.
The group's main focus is to ensure that NO CHILD IS LEFT BEHIND!
