Ivymount School’s Autism Outreach and Consultation Service

Address :

Autism Outreach and Consultation Services provides services to individuals with autism, their families, and to the organizations, schools, and agencies that educate and treat these individuals. Based on empirically-validated approaches within the field of autism and applied behavior analysis, these services seek to provide assessment, education and treatment for individuals with autism spectrum disorders.

Consultation services for individuals and families are based upon a referral from a parent or professionals to address a specific skill deficit or challenging behavior. Consultation is provided during home visits in which a consultant collaborates with parents to provide assessment and treatment recommendations. In addition to referral-based services, consultation is provided for established home programs to provide external evaluations and staff training.

All services are individualized to meet the needs of each individual and family. Some examples of services that are provided include: Behavioral Assessment and Development of Behavior Plans; Home Program Development and Supervision; Individualized Staff Training for Home Programs; Community Workshops
