The Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) voluntary health organization that provides education, support and advocacy for people with epilepsy and their families. The Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania also promotes understanding of seizure disorders through a wide variety of programs presented to business, government and school communities, professional audiences and the general public.
Our service area includes Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Delaware, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Montgomery, Northampton, Philadelphia, Pike, Schuylkill, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming counties where approximately 65,000 individuals with epilepsy reside. Founded in 1972, the Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania consists of more than 500 members, a thirty member volunteer Board of Directors, a voluntary Professional Advisory Board, a team of volunteers and staff who facilitate support groups, conduct educational seminars, plan special fundraising events, and provide adult, family and children's services.
