Brimmer Behavioral Services provides ABA services for children with Autism in the Centre County region of Pennsylvania.
I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst currently serving children and their families in Centre County, PA and surrounding areas. I have been working in the field of behavioral health for over a decade and began working exclusively with children in 2006. I am dedicated to teaching children skills and behaviors that will allow them to continue building on previous successes and provide them with opportunities to experience a high quality of life.
I received my B.A. in psychology from Lock Haven University and my M.S. in clinical psychology from Loyola University in Maryland. I spent an additional year studying counseling psychology at McDaniel College and completed a post-graduate program in applied behavior analysis through the Florida Institute of Technology. I have participated in a number of trainings hosted by the PA Bureau of Autism and am a Licensed Behavior Specialist with the PA Board of Medicine.
I specialize in the treatment of children diagnosed with Autism and children with severe behavioral challenges. My particular areas of focus include teaching communication to children with delayed or absent verbal skills, decreasing anxiety-related avoidant and repetitive behaviors, teaching replacement behaviors for aggression and self-injury, and development of specific daily living skills. However, every child is different, and I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. Every program is designed to meet an individual child’s specific needs.
