The Boy Lenny Series was developed to help start conversations with young children about emotions. The Boy with the Mismatched Smile, was developed from working with a child with autism that had a difficult time understanding emotional cues (facial expressions).
Meet Children’s Book Author, Illustrator; Kyiona Carswell
The Boy with the Mismatched Smile, is Kyiona's big debut. The book was developed to address common social emotional issues seen in early childhood settings. The Boy with the Mismatched Smile, talks about emotions with a bit of humor while including rich vocabulary and modeling problem solving skills. Kyiona is currently working on the second book in The Boy Lenny Series, entitled, Lenny, I'm Not Your Friend Anymore. We can't wait to see what is next on Lenny's adventure!
